I was torn on what image to use though. I know we'll see lots of cute itty bitty's yawning or giving sleep smiles - i have lots of those too (just look back a few blog posts). I thought I'd go a little more raw and give you one of the very first shots that I took of him after his birth (hubs was in charge of the camera prior to this because well...I was a little busy).
About 12 hours into our little one's life he started to turn a lovely shade of yellow indicating that his little body was not removing the bilirubin quickly enough and his numbers were soaring. The remedy for this resulted in his first trip to the tanning beds - at 20 hours old... He spent about 40 hours under various power lights until his numbers returned to an acceptable level. We finally went home after 4 days in the hospital and he's no worse for the wear.
Head on over to i♥faces to goo and gah over all the other cute itty bitty's (and/or you can head back a few posts int his blog and oo and ahh over my itty bitty:) ).

So precious and real .
beautiful photo, like Amanda said, so real.
Awww! My first son had jaundice and had to be under the UV lights too. He's a cutie!
Great picture! I as well like the reality that is shown in the picture.

First of all look at those yummy baby lips! Second of all boy this sure brings back memories! Two of my 4 sons had to be under the lights like that too. It was the hardest thing to have to leave them in there! I just wanted to snuggle!
